Duo Houston Fashion Show!

My new purchase will be these shoes. Wish me luck walking in them!

Michelle (top, model) and Scott (bottom, photographer) are the only people who have known me since I was a "kid" (19 years old). They know where my first fashionable steps were!

I had an eventful night full of models, photography and of course fashion! I attended the Duo Houston fashion show. Duo is a store located in the heart of Houston. This year they featured all of their new fall fashion pieces. The fashion was great and of course I got some great fall inspiration. There was even male models which of course is a great plus. ;) Browns, reds, blacks, whites and bright blues ruled the runway! I like to attend shows in boutiques because I am able to see what the “street style” will most likely be for the upcoming season.

I wanted to make sure I was matching the “fall” theme. I decided I would go semi heavy on the gold for this show. I wore many gold accessories. I am a huge fan of a  “light” weight blouse but of course that will have to change; due to our cold winters in Houston.  My blouse had a very edgy gold trim around, which is why I fell in love with it. My pants were printed and were surprisingly comfortable. I loved the red-ish color and the print was exactly what I wanted. Gold accessories are my favorite during the fall. I needed a balance so I decided to wear gold shoes (since y top half was full of gold accessories). Overall, the show was amazing and like I said I was inspired. Now, I have a new buy in mind!

It was a day with nature!

I love the arboretum in Houston! This place is so peaceful and its a great place to take pictures. There were so many photographers taking pictures of the scenery. And of course I had to take advantage. There were flowers, beautiful fountains and trails. Everything was simply beautiful!

My outfit was extremely comfortable. The skirt and shirt was perfect for the weather. My favorite part was when the wind would blow and my skirt would fly. Since the weather was obviously extremely hot, the fabric was light and comfortable. My purse was perfect, it was very light weight and could fit all my basic necessities. My shoes were surprisingly comfortable. They were simple but had just the “look” I needed. It was a good afternoon!

This Saturday!

The heat was ridiculous in Houston this Saturday. So hot I experienced dehydration at first hand. I could not believe I was passing out in the middle of the pride festival. Even though I was passing out I did it in style. My shirt was the most comfortable jean piece I own and the shorts were perfect for the horrible heat. The shirt had incredible gold studs around the collar and pockets. My boots were surprisingly comfortable and were the perfect “mismatch” accessory. Besides the dehydration I suffered, pride is definitely an event everyone should experience.

Who said the stars won't shine at night?

Hello World,
Saturday night was definitely an eventful night! My friends and I rode bikes in downtown Houston at night, yes, at night! We had a blast! If you want to experience downtown Houston in a different way it is most definitely in a bike and at night. We went to places we did not even know existed.

Going around busy streets in Houston is most definitely no joke. I wore jeans and a comfy Marilyn Monroe t-shirt. I needed more.... ACCESSORIES! I am in love with my necklace ♥ I have been in love with mens wear jewelry. Watches are a must! To walk in downtown Houston you need comfortable shoes. I wanted the comfort but I also wanted the edgy glamour. These black booties were surprisingly comfortable. I  wanted to overload the accessories.
This was an amazing night but most definitely was when I lost one of my shoes. While on my bike ride I decided to take my shoes off and put them in the basket. Suddenly I noticed one of my shoes was missing. I was devastated. These are probably one of my favorite pair of shoes and too lose one is like losing a tooth. So I went on a hunt around downtown and luckily I found them. Most definitely the high light of the night was hunting for a shoe around downtown.

Downtown Houston I ♥ you!

Hello World!

I am new to the world of blogging. I am obsessed with anything vintage, if its old and rusty...its mine.  I love to travel and learn new things. Ceramics and photography are my favorite things to do, but do you know what I love? Shoes, accessories, purses, hats, sunglasses, earrings, neon colors and colorful necklaces. They are what I think about everyday. Why? Because it's a simple way to express myself without talking. Expression is something everyone should practice and trust me you WILL love it, I know I do. So lets all come together and officially make a petition of expression, I have all ready started mine, here. This is where I will show you what it's really like in my head.

In Texas there is a small place called Old Town Spring, which I love. I always find the cutest vintage things. Places that I see in my world all time, my LA LA LAND.

It was a hot day in Houston but I woke up feeling very happy and bright. I love this pink lace shirt because not only is it adorable but its perfect to wear to a little town like Old Town Spring. My ruffled skirt was perfect for the occasion mainly because there was NO air blowing. I loved the combination because I thought it was different. Ruffles and pink lace? Yes, it's perfect for our warm weather in Texas.

I am a huge shoe FANATIC!!! I am in love with shoes and jewelry.
